This Visa option allows you to immigrate permanently, or temporarily, working specifically with the elderly or youth.

Two current pilots are running under this Visa - the Home Child Care Provider Pilot, and Home Support Worker Pilot. You can qualify for either of these pilots with a valid job offer as a caregiver, or if you have experience as a caregiver in Canada. Your application process will be different, depending on your personal situation, and how much work experience you have. Qualifying work experience under the National Occupational Classification (NOC), are either the home child care provider (NOC 4411), or the home support worker (NOC 4412).

You have the option of earning your permanent residence (PR) in Canada with this Visa. This provides you with all of the benefits of being a citizen, except for voting in elections, and joining the military.

If your application determines that you are not eligible to apply for permanent residency (PR), you’ll be able to apply for a temporary work permit, that may provide you with the experience required to re-apply for permanent residence.
