Refugee Programs.
The difference between a refugee and an immigrant is an immigrant chooses to come to another country, where a refugee leaves their home country due to fear of prosecution. There are two programs Canada offers refugees: the Refugee and Humanitarian Resettlement program, and the In-Canada Asylum program.
An additional added benefit of becoming a refugee to Canada is that regardless of what part of Canada you travel to, many integration programs are available to assist you in settling as a resident. Some of these programs include help with learning English or French, finding temporary of permanent housing, finding childcare, transportation services, and many more.
