Rural & Northern Immigration Pilot.

This pilot program was created to help support Canadian immigration to more rural, and Northern communities. At this time, there are 11 options for participating communities in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Ontario.

To be eligible for this pilot, you must have relevant Canadian experience (a minimum of 1 year, full-time, non-seasonal work in the last 3 years for a total of 1,560 hours). If you do not have valid work experience, instead you must graduate from a publicly funded, post-secondary education in one of the participating communities.

Next, you must pass the minimum requirements for education, and language skills. Unless you are already working in Canada with a valid permit, you must provide proof of financial stability that could support you, and any family members you have, even if they are not traveling with you. Finally, you must also intend to live in one of the participating communities, and meet the specific requirements of that community.

This Visa leads to you earning your permanent residence (PR) in Canada. This provides you with all of the benefits of being a citizen, except for voting in elections, and joining the military.
